Smells of roasted malt, slight vanillin.
Taste is roasted malt in the front, some faint coffee, maybe a slight wisp of what might have been bourbon a while back.
There is a very slight bitterness on the finish that makes you go back for more.
The bourbon brings a small amount of vanillin to the beer along with a slight twang (can't think of a better word) to the finish.
